Peru 2005

Days 1-3: Lima and Villa el Salvador
<< Previous | Next >>

Literacy class at Los Martincitos. The Peruvian government provides this teacher, but Los Martincitos receives most of its funding from private sources. (Visit http://www.adopt-a-grandparent.org if you'd like to help!) It was pretty cool to see people, even at an advanced age, learning how to read and write. (Most participants speak Spanish, but some know only Quechua, the indigenous language of the region.)
